Walking in God's Wisdom

God’s Wisdom is so vast it’s like standing on the beach and looking out over the ocean. It’s deep, wide, and we can’t see the end of it. So how do we break it down into bite sized chunks that we can digest? Or to put it this way, how can we live it day by day, and minute by minute? Never mind months or years right now.

Let me share with you a few things that help me to assimilate His wisdom into my daily walk.

·        Pray – pick at a specific time and place if you can. Pray as you go through the day. Pray when you wake up. Pray when you lie down. In other words, stay close to Him. He is there and wants to help us. ‘Help me today Lord Jesus’ is a great prayer to live by each day.

·        Pick a verse or verses that speak to your heart about this situation. Memorize it if you haven’t already. Write it down on a post-it note attached to your bathroom mirror. Post one on your desk or wherever you work so that it will be there if front of you to remind of His wisdom. Put in on the refrigerator. Attach one to the dash of your car to keep His word in your thoughts.

·        Think of others and their needs. Philippians 2:3-5 says “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4  Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5   Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” He cared so much for us that He was willing to die for us. Let’s think like He does. I can tell you it takes away a lot of pressure and stress.

Let’s keep our minds on Him. Let's keep our minds on others. That’s a great way to walk in His wisdom!

In Him,
Steve
